Celiac Disease Diet - Things You Can Eat And What You Must Avoid
75Those who are first diagnosed with celiac disease may think it is going to have a massive effect on what they can eat and their overall diet. Fortunately many are surprised when they find out that this is not exactly the case.
Switching foods that contain gluten for those that do not is no longer a hard subject as many gluten rich foods are now many without the gluten specifically for a celiac disease diet.
Gluten is a type of protein that is found in various foods, one of the most common being wheat. Most people do not realise the amount of food that actually contains wheat, although we are all familiar with bread which has it as a main ingredient.
If faced with celiac disease you are going to have to eliminate this from your diet along with other gluten rich foods such as pasta and rice. Generally people know what not to eat but struggling to see what they can eat as a replacement.

Celiac disease diet - What can you eat?
Although celiac disease will affect your diet in many ways it leaves most of it still open.
-
First and foremost you are still allowed to consume any meats or fish produce. These protein rich foods are needed to keep our bodies healthy and growing. Thankfully no meat (red or white) or fish contains gluten so it is still safe to eat as normal.
-
Potatoes and Vegetables are also naturally gluten-free. This means complete with what has been mentioned in number 1; you can have a regular dinner of chicken or beef, potatoes and vegetables without having to worry about kicking off your allergies.
-
Processed Gluten Free alternatives. As pasta, bread and flour are or are ingredients of some of the world’s favourite foods there had to be some sort of substitute devised for those who have fallen to celiac disease. There are now many brands offering gluten free products and they can easily found at the local supermarket usually in a separate area to the usual goods. Thanks to the introduction of these even celiac sufferers can go to any restaurant and ask for a dish to be made with gluten free products.
As you can see changing to a gluten free diet doesn’t necessarily changing your day to day meals. There are gluten free replacements for many of your favourite breakfast cereals along with both white and brown bread if you prefer toast.
As previously mentioned it is still ok to eat all meat products along with potatoes, rich and vegetables. Pasta being one of the most adored Italian dishes around the world was one of the first types of food to have a gluten free alternative made.
If you are diagnosed with celiac disease do not get worried about the affects it will have on your diet. Your doctor will usually be more than happy to give you more information of a celiac disease diet and your personal dietary needs.
There are already plenty of gluten free diet plans circulating the population which have been made by nutritional specialists.
